We're happy to announce a new one day workshop (#WorkshopsWeLove). This time, the workshop will be focus on Prometheus, an open-source service monitoring system and time series database. It provides monitoring out of the box, a multi-dimensional data model, a flexible query language, instrumentation and powerful and smart alerts.The Prometheus Workshop will be Saturday, May 28 in our offices at Ronda de Atocha, 37, Madrid. It'll start at 9:30 am.This one is targeted to both developers and sysadmins that want to get a practical knowledge on Prometheus.This workshop will cover the following topics

  • Introduction to Prometheus
  • Instrumentation
  • Query Language
  • Alerts
  • Dashboards
  • Good and bad patterns on instrumentation and alerting.
  • Integration with Grafana.

WorkShop Speaker:Brian Brazil (@RobustPerceiver) is an Irish core developer of Prometheus. He has over 10 years experience managing and monitoring large-scale systems at companies such as Google. He now uses his skills to help organizations get the most out their systems and staff.Moreover, during the workshop we will explain how we use prometheus at ShuttleCloud, and why it’s so important for us, the process we’ve followed to instrument our services and for creating smart alerts.
